In my rating system 10 would be considered NEW. An item with a rating of 10- would be
almost like new. An item rating of 5 would be very beat up and showing a lot of wear but working unless otherwise specified in the item listing. Normally items also have written descriptions in each listing.

Cheap International Postage BUT....
1-A Priority Mail International Flat-Rate Envelope
is $12.99 to all countries.
Items must be flat and fit easily in the envelope.
These items are NOT insured and are sent at your own risk.
They also have NO tracking information at all.
2-An International small parcels items 4 pounds or less may be mailed in a tiny box.
These items are not insured and are mailed at your own risk.
They also have NO tracking information at all.
The reason there is no tracking and no insurance is the United States Postal Service (http://www.USPS.com) does NOT offer any insurance or any tracking for these low cost international mailing options.
TRACKING & INSURANCE....
If you desire tracking and insurance this costs a minimum of $45 even for the tiny international boxes. So if you desire insurance and tracking be sure not to use either of the cheaper postage options. If you pay for the more expensive shipping you will get both tracking and insurance on international items.
The Type of mailing is YOUR choice.
If cheaper postage is used then Jim's Cameras does not refund any money if the item does not arrive. We are not responsible for lost items if they are not tracked and insured.
Warranty Information:
I have many happy repeat customers. You like what you get from Jim's Cameras because you get a good deal, and you have fun with what you buy. I take pride in selling equipment that is of highest quality, that works well. Your top quality results are worth the effort.
All cameras (and other items) ordered ON LINE have a two week mechanical warranty (14 days total) from the date you get the camera (or other item). This warranty means that the camera (or other item) mechanics will work correctly (or as explicitly stated in the on line ad listing for the item (or items) on the Jim's Camera website at the time of purchase). Since many pieces of photo equipment that I sell are used and vintage it is understood that sometime they have minor defects which may be stated in the on line ad listing the item (or items) for sale. You agree that if defects were noted in the original on line listing for your purchased item (or items) that Jim's Cameras is not responsible for these defects. If for any reason the camera (or other item) does not work correctly (and the particular defect was not noted in the original on line item ad) I will REPAIR it at MY cost if notified during this two week period. If the defect was stated prior to purchase in the on line ad listing (for a camera or any other purchased store item) I will not be responsible for any costs or repairs needed. Jim's Cameras is not responsible for any costs (such as postage insurance or handling) associated with return of the item (or items).
After two weeks (14 days total after I mailed the item) Jim's Cameras or the owner of Jim's cameras have NO responsibility for any purchased equipment.
Anyone buying items on this site, (or by phone or email) agrees to these warranty terms and agrees to the two week warranty period and the fact that they are responsible for all repair costs after this two week period.

Returned Items:
For all items ordered ON LINE...
There is a 20% restocking fee for all (on line) returned items. This fee is not based in any way on why you desire to return the item. As stated the fee is a restocking fee. The fee is applied equally and fairly to all returned items. Postage handling and insurance is NOT refunded for any returned on line items. The cost of your original postage, insurance, and handling is fully deducted before any refund. ONLY the price of the item will be refunded less a 20% restocking fee. Items ordered on line may be returned for up to two weeks (14 days total) after the item was mailed by me to you. After this two weeks on line ordered items may not be returned. You should contact me about returns within two weeks of getting the item; after this two week period all items purchased on line from Jim's Cameras may not be returned, and no repairs, no refunds, or exchanges will be given. No exceptions.
If you just wish to return an item purchased on line (and I am notified during the two week return period that you desire to return an item) then you agree to return/mail this item (or items) promptly. If the item (or items) does not arrive back at Jim's Cameras within a total of 17 days of the date I original mailed the item to you, Jim's Cameras will not accept returns, and no money will be refunded. Jim's Cameras (or the owner of Jim's Cameras) are not responsible for items that people delay returning. No refunds will be given on items people retain beyond a total of 14 days (of the date I mailed the item to you).
If returned items are lost in shipment back to Jim's Cameras no money will be refunded.
You must insure valuable items and if lost, deal with the shipper. Jim's Cameras (or the owner of Jim's Cameras) will not be held liable in any way for returned items that are lost or damaged in shipment. All returned items should be well packed, fully insured, and tracked to insure proper shipment back to Jim's Cameras. This is your responsibility.
Returned items must return in exactly the same shape that Jim's Cameras originally mailed them in. Items returned to Jim's Cameras that are not in the same shape that they were originally mailed in (by Jim's Cameras) will be returned to the purchaser at their cost (COD to cover return postage insurance and handling) and no money will be refunded.
It is always best to insure and track items where possible.

Doing business on the internet; or over the phone; or by email sometime results in miscommunication. This is neither person's fault. The solution to most of these miscommunications is to return the item within the two week return period.

When purchasing items at Jim's Cameras (on the store premises) sales and warranty terms are different. These terms are posted in the store and apply to all purchases made at Jim's Cameras store premises. At the store if customers ask they have the chance to examine and test store items before purchase. For items purchased on premises all sales are final with a 5 day mechanical warranty. This is not a return warranty but rather a repair warranty. This means the item (or items) is still your item, which I will fix it at my cost if notified within 5 days after purchase of the item (or items) at the store. No exceptions. No cash refunds. The following would be done fully at my discretion. Sometime I issue an in store credit slip less a 20% restocking fee. This may ONLY be applied towards in store stocked items, and would not allow for any partial cash refunds. If an in store credit slip is not issued by Jim's Cameras the item you purchased will not be taken back. You will retain ownership of your purchased item (or items). No exceptions.
